Local Goodness | Proud to be a Farmer

Food Lion holds a commitment to providing the freshest produce to its customers. To help them showcase this mission, we traveled the Southeast to capture and interview farmers in their daily routine, then crafted a series of spots that each told a story behind the journey of Food Lion’s produce.

As we went through production, we started to notice a common message between the farmers - a sense of pride. These are hard working individuals, who spend get up before the sun rises and go to bed well after it sets; and yet there is a sense of pride, community and purpose behind their tenacity.

Originally focused in the Carolinas, the video campaign became very successful on social media gaining several hundred thousand views between the first five videos. Food Lion then approached us to continue the campaign for a second run in Virginia.

The video went on to win a Telly award for Editing in Branded Content.
